A bruiser of a wine. Massive in all respects…but that is part of the trick with this wine – giant size but still balanced. This bodes very well for long keeping. Light dark red colour. Light to medium intensity. Smells, cherry, plenty of red berries, vanilla, sour plum. On the mouth , medium bodied, Sour cherries, sour berries, plums, typically well made italian wine. Went lovely with roasted capsicum pasta with salad. Red with slight bricky tinge. Nose is good, but palate is magnificent! A massive attack of fruit, silky tannins (tongue twisting), high acids (eye rolling), concentrated etc with a longevity after leaving the mouth that is what you always wish for in a wine. For ANY western style dinner.
It lacks my favourite component of Bordeaux: The sumi ink. But still…

simple and not that complex but a smooth drinking Pinot Noir. Opened it and drank half the bottle. Put the cork bacj in and let it stay for a day and it had opened up with more tastes. Recommendable for the price. (86 pts.) – Tasted 4/22/2010.
