Latest bottle had great balance, with nicely complex flavors of strawberry, dark cherry, loam and a touch of cigar box. This wine has really improved since I had it 2 1/2 years ago. Day 1 the nose was tight with citrus, apples and minerals. Palate was medium-bodied with plenty minerality, balanced fruit (lemon and fruit cocktail) and good acidity for the vintage. Still a little bitterness on the finish. Day 2 a honeyed aspect was added to the nose and palate which took the wine to another level. The minerality and acidity remained and the bitterness on the finish was gone. This still has plenty of life ahead of it, or if you open it now give it plenty of air. (91 pts.) – Tasted 3/27/2010.
