The wine is show a bit stemmy on the nose, but with good minerality, fruit leading toward dried, such as plum. Enjoyed it better, younger. Need to drink the last bottle in the next year. (91 pts.) – Tasted 6/26/2009.

It was a wine that I learned to enjoy throughout the taste. I left it to the end because in the beginning, seemed to have passed. I was wrong. Fantastic balance, edges still pronounced. Short in the mouth that penalize my final assessment. (89 pts.) – Tasted 6/22/2009.

Not an impressive wine. Light red in color, and cloudy. Notes of Red fruit and cola, more like a Russian River Pinot. (86 pts.) – Tasted 6/20/2009.

This was one of my first experiences with Priorat.
Black currant, blackberry, clay and a touch of toast mark the polished, opulent nose. The palate has a balance of dark fruit, earth and oak.
The tannins are operating in the shadows, with almost no noticeable roughness on the finish, but the structure can be felt throughout.
Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Carignan. (92 pts.) – Tasted 6/18/2009.

This took me by surprise. I admit, I liked the 06, but I loved the 05! Gobs of black fruit, smoke, chocolate and tobacco. Dense and filled with elegant, ripe fruit. There is a lot going on in this wine. The style, elegance and finesse is a pleasure to taste, swirl, sniff and sip. This was so good, it is one of the few wines I bought after tasting it. The wine reminds me of scaled down version of Haut Brion. If you like Haut Bailly, or Graves, this Bordeaux wine belongs in your cellar. (95 pts.) – Tasted 6/17/2009.

Deep red.
Brambles and vanilla on the nose.
Very fruity – red berries, cherry, strawberry on palate.
Very smoothe, soft tannins. (85 pts.) – Tasted 6/15/2009.

Nose: Black Cherry, Sweet Blackberry, Shaved Chocolate Palate: Entry is loaded with bright cherries, then dried red and black fruits. Midpalate is expansive and shows more fruits, but also some hints of sage and caramel. Finish: Glycerin thickness coats the palate and allows it to finish long and strong fanning out to show blue and red fruits accented by slight saline minerality. This is awsome. I did some more digging and figured out why. The merlot component was sourced from David Abreu’s Madronna Ranch vineyard … explains a lot. (94 pts.) – Tasted 6/14/2009.
