This wine was brick-red in color, with dark intensity and sediment. The nose had a mild dustiness to it, and did not exhibit much else. Lots of acidity in the mouth, but nothing else. Probably past its prime. (85 pts.) – Tasted 3/27/2004.

Shiraz/Cabernet (65/35). The shiraz plum and earth show better here on the nose compared to the Brave Face. I don’t taste the cab much, the shiraz is upfront. A step up from the Brave Face in quality and price. Pretty unctuous stuff. High $30s – Tasted 3/7/2004.
