1970 Château Pontet-Canet

Carmine with clearly brown. The bouquet has oak and is completely mature. The wine is quite developed with oak, caramel and a lot of acidity. In fact the acidity is starting to play a too major role. Although I am a real Pontet Canet addict, the 1970 is not a wine which ever really appealed to me. (84 pts.) – Tasted 4/22/1994.
