An interesting comparison against the bottle I opened in May of 09. That bottle was awesome right from the first pop but this time around it took a couple of hours for the wine to really come into its sweet spot. Initially there was a lot of heat on the back end and while the structure was there, it didn't seem to have all the soldiers marching in sync. After a couple of hours, everything fell into place. - Tasted 9/5/2010.

Popped & poured. One-trick pony - cherries. Lots of cherries. But it does it well, balanced nicely with creamy vanilla (oak) and dry. Dark and tasty. Not very complex, not boring, yummy & enjoyable. Great mid-week all by itself. Not sure what you'd pair this with (maybe German chocolate cake, probably a cigar). Super QPR at $12.98. Will buy more. (89 pts.) - Tasted 9/1/2010.

Had one bottle on Feb 2010 and another in June 2010- same carton. First bottle was quite oxidised, fruit was shockingly forward, almost materised. Perhaps a flawed bottle (90A points). Second bottle was stunning- amazing peaches and cream flavour with brilliantly balanced acidity which kept it so exciting from start to finish. This is the stuff of legends! (96 points). - Tasted 8/31/2010.
